Experimenting with smoke and light

Here’s something I always wanted to try but could never find time to do, capture the motion of some smoke. We’ve had a pretty raining spring here in Portland, Oregon which makes for not so nice shooting. After being stuck in the studio for the past four or five days working on a clients website I needed a break. What to do? I found some incense that was been laying around put up a black backdrop and started shooting, playing ISO speed and aperture I started seeing some improvements. I only spent an hour taking pictures and the next couple in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop playing with colors. It was the break I needed.
