The backstreets of any city can be very interesting to photograph, they are full of colors, textures, and objects that you would never thing about placing together in a studio (or want to touch). They are so alive.
And sometimes they can also make you really thankful for the things you have. Shortly after I started talking pictures of this alley in Seattle a homeless man walked past me right up to the dumpsters and found what I’m guessing would be his dinner that night. He placed a couple items in his plastic bag, peeled a banana and moved on down to the next set of dumpsters.
